Runmageddon Sahara 2019

is a multi-stage, long-distance run. The race is organized in four formulas: Sahara 120 - with obstacles (OCR type) and Sahara 120 without obstacles - cross country run; Sahara 50 with obstacles (OCR type) and Sahara 50 without obstacles - cross country run. Participants cover chosen distance – respectively 120 or 50 kilometers during four stages of the race.

The routes of Runmageddon Sahara are located in the most beautiful and challenging areas of Morocco. The first stage leads through the stone desert, close to the border with Algeria. Second stage, sand desert run, is set across the biggest sand dunes of Moroccan Sahara in Erg Chebbi region. Before stage three the Participants are transferred from the desert areas to the mountains of High Atlas. The third run is organized along famous “Valley of Roses”, but to get there, the Participants need to cross the height of 2000 meters above sea level. This challenging stage does not include any man-made obstacles, since the terrain of Atlas mountains is challenging enough. Final stage of Runmageddon Sahara 2019 is organized around beautiful lake Takerkhoust, located in one-hour driving distance in the south of Marrakesh. This short leg (5-7 kilometers) is a “run for fun” and it is not accounted for overall classification of the race. Last stage is followed by closing ceremony and official after party at the lake side. Throughout the duration of the event the Participants stay at professionally prepared camp sites located at the desert and in the mountains. Tents, food, transportation and entertainment are provided by organizers. The last day of the event is dedicated to relax and fun – the Runners will spend a whole day in historic city of Marrakesh – the day will conclude with official dinner hosted by one of the most famous restaurants in the town.

The event starter pack includes: flights, transportation, participation in the race, medals, accommodation, medical assistance and lots of fun.
